Can I change the language setting for the blog subscription confirmation page?

  • I am working on a WordPress site that is in German and has a German readership. If someone subscribes to the blog through the subscription widget on the home page (see “Email-Abo”), the email they receive is in German, which is great. *However*, once they click on the link in that email in order to confirm their subscription, the web page they are taken to (which part of wordpress.com) is in English, not German. This is bound to be quite confusing for those who attempt to subscribe to this site — or to any site that is not written in English. Is there any way to address this? I don’t see any setting through the the site’s admin panel that would allow me to do so. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Thanks for your quick reply. I will see whether someone associated with the site might be available to provide a German translation.
