La conexión no es privada

  • Estamos trabajando en clase de informática con el editor de wordpress. A algunos alumnos les corta el paso a la edición dando un error que dice “La conexión no es privada”. Les ocurre a uchos de mis alumnos, con dominios: 4B2023123, 4C20222302, 4C202316, 4B202308, 4B202301, …

    Hemos probado a usar el Mozilla Firefox y el Cromium. Con ambos exploradores tenemos el mismo problema.

    Además lo curioso es que otros alumnos no tienen ese problema o estops mismos, cambiándose de ordenador dejan de tenerlo.

    No le vemos ninguna lógica a lo que ocurre.

  • Hey there, could you share more information? What page are they on when they see that error?

    The fact that changing computers stops the problem does suggest an issue with their browser, or perhaps with some browser extension like an add-blocker. If you can spot any patterns between the students who have this trouble and those who don’t, let us know and we can help you get to the bottom of it.

    There is no pattern, this is our problem. And all the computers in the class have exactly the same software.

    They are trying to edit 4B2023123.wordpress.com, 4C20222302.wordpress.com, 4C202316.wordpress.com, …

  • Usually when an issue like this occurs, it can be traced to an expired (or broken) login auth cookie stored on your local web browser. It looks like you are using Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox as your browser, so with this in mind I would like you to try the following

    • Clear your cache and cookies based on the steps Google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050. For Firefox you can follow the steps Mozilla recommends here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox
    • Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies.” On the WordPress.com dashboard we use cookies to authenticate you as an admin. If you are blocking cookies this will result in the editor and other admin pages not working.
    • If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, I would like you to try another device instead. Is this an issue you have only with the school computers? Or is it an issue with your personal computer at home and/or your smartphone?
