Include text copy only on post page and not front page?
-
How does one have text copy only appear on post page and not front /homepage?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It may depend a little bit on the theme, but also it sounds like the static front page option is what you want.
Here is a help page about how to setup a static front page. Does this sound like what you were looking for?

If you mean just have the title and possibly an image on the front page, put the image right at the start of the blog, then put the More tag.

Hi, Thank you for the response. I am using the Publisher Theme. I have 13 Titles and Feature images that represent video posts on the HomePage – when you click on the title or image you are directed to the post page. – works great. The static page isn’t allowing that kind of fluid motion.
When I create a post and put copy under the URL with the More tag both the video and the copy show up on the home page. I just want the Title and the Feature Image on homepage and the Title, Video and Copy on the post page.
Thank you.

I’m still not sure I’m getting it, but maybe it’s because you just don’t have any of the text you want to avoid showing on the home page right now and so I can’t see it. (?)
Let’s look at a specific example. I checked http://taskonomics.com/ and I see the latest post title is, “Walked Dog While Owner Recovered from Surgery.”
http://taskonomics.com/2014/04/01/dog-needs-a-good-walk-while-owner-recovers-from-knee-surgery/I checked the featured image for that post and here is the link for it:
https://taskonomics.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/taskonomics_dogrecovered.jpgIt looks the same as the video, but also, the featured image on the home page matches the featured image for the post.
On your home page, I see this featured image https://taskonomics.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/taskonomics_dogrecovered.jpg followed by the title “Walked Dog While Owner Recovered from Surgery” with no post copy. To me, it looks exactly like what you described you wanted: https://cloudup.com/cqKVS6Oe_kf
Comparing the Publisher demo site, I see copy under the posts. If you wanted to hide that text just on the home page, you could do it by adding the following CSS to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
.home .blocks-page .block-titles-wrap .block-text { display: none; }

Thank you designsimply!
The customized CSS you provided works.
.home .blocks-page .block-titles-wrap .block-text {
display: none;
}Let me know if you ever need a task completed.
Sincerely,
Randi
