Perhaps because of more than 700 entries? What should I do?

Hi @mmeshkov –

700 entries shouldn’t be a problem. (my journal has ~1800) Do you have any entries in Russian or another non-English language? Someone else has emailed me with a similar problem, and I’m working on it now…

Hi Gregstoll,
Thank you very much for the python script. My journal is in russian, so I used Semagic lj-client to dump my posts to the xml, and then modified your script to convert the obtained dump to wordpress format. Works like a charm. The only issue is that comments can’t be imported this way. But I hadn’t any intention to import them anyway.

I fixed a number of bugs today including some dealing with non-English characters. Can you try running LJBackup again?

Hmm, sounds like there are more bugs I haven’t fixed yet :-/ If you send me an email at (email redacted) I can work on figuring out what’s wrong.
