How to host wordpress in bluehost
-
Hi,
I have successfully mapped my domain to the bluehost dns and even installed wordpress on the domain. However now how do I transfer all my posts from the wordpress blog to bluehost?
How to transfer all my files and database to wordpress using the ftp client?
-
You’re in the wrong forum and need to be over at WordPress.org. Our software here at WordPress.com works somewhat differently and we won’t be able to help you.

Hi raincoaster,
My blog was originally hosted at wordpress.com. I went to the hosting referral sites provided by wordpress and signed up with bluehost..Will wordpress.org support me?

That’s where the software you will be using comes from. As rain said, the software here is different and few if any know anything about it.

Hmm..
This is so very confusing..Can i take a back up of my posts, comments and database that is kept on wordpress.com using wordpress.org?
can i log in using the same user name password in wordpress.org
thanks for the help…

Yes to the first question; find out how by searching the forum for “export”
As for the second, who knows? Try it. -

Go to your wordpress.com blog Admin => Manage => Export and export the file and save it to your computer. Then login to your Bluehost wordpress install Admin => Manage => Import and select the file you have downloaded from wordpress.com and follow the prompts. Once you have the wordpress.com export file, you can get more information over at http://wordpress.org/support/ It is pretty straightforward to get the content in through that import process.
