I used Visual editor. Does it matter?
i tried editing the html code laternow this my code:
<p style=”text-align:left;”>hello, strong $latex \LaTeX$</p>
hello, $latex \LaTeX$but they looks the same. You can see it in the link above.

Yes, of course it matters whether you post it in the Visual or HTML editor.
The Latex, because it is a different kind of code than the regular text, will ALWAYS display on a separate line, unless you get fancy with some HTML. You can see that in the instructions here:
You may want to put “Hello” inside the Latex tags
-
so, what do you mean by “get fancy with some HTML”?
excuse me for my poor englishi’ve read the instructions, but it doesn’t help
It doesn’t mention the inline question. Indeed, they makes \LaTeX
inline, but I don’t know how they make it.Obviously, it’s not the very thing i want to put “Hello” inside
the Latex tags. Everything in the tag with be parsed and
transformed to a picture.A sample displaying latex symbols inline will be rather appreciated.

When I say “get fancy with some HTML” I mean you could code a solution by, for example, making a table and putting “Hello” in one cell and the latex code in the next one, etc.

Oh,I see
I found why my page displays \LaTeX in a seperate line while http://en.support.wordpress.com/latex/ displays it inline:
In my page’s css, there is a attribute for img element—display:block
it’s defined in this css:
http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/p2/style.css?m=1280155519g
when I remove it in opera’s dragonfly, it become inlineSo I changed my blog theme, and now the symbols display inline
Thank u very much!—————————————————–
style.css?m=1280155519g
#main p img {
vertical-align: top;
padding-top: 2px;
padding-right: 2px;
padding-bottom: 2px;
padding-left: 2px;
border-top-style: solid;
border-bottom-style: solid;
border-left-style: solid;
border-top-width: 1px;
border-right-width: 1px;
border-bottom-width: 1px;
border-left-width: 1px;
display: block;
