Guided Transfer

  • Hi, I’m interested in purchasing the “Guided Transfer” upgrade because I would like to install pluggins on my blog and I’m not able to do that right now because it is hosted on wordpress. If I do this, who are your partners I can choose from to host my blog? Can you give me examples? How long will this take? My main thing is that I want to be able to install pluggins (a translations pluggin to be exact that I have used in other blogs but my current blog doesnt support because I purchased the URL through wordpress).

    THANK YOU!

One of our Happiness Engineers will transfer your site to a self-hosted WordPress.org installation with one of our partners. They will transfer over all your content, install and configure plugins to support features you have used on WordPress.com, switch your domain(s) over, and provide support on your new WordPress.org install for a two-week period.

Have your site transferred by one of our Happiness Engineers to a self-hosted WordPress.org installation with one of our partners.

See here please > WordPress.org Hosting
Many of the suitable hosts on our WordPress web hosting list offer a one-click, automatic installation of the software. If you are using a host that does not offer automatic installtion of WordPress, you can review the official installation guide.

A plugin is not require for translation. Please see here for two different ways I provide translation on my blog. > Translation widget for WordPress.com blogs > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/02/14/translation-widget-for-wordpress-com-blogs/

  • Hi, I think you might be my hero!!!
Although not quite clear on what I have to do.. should I use this button? http://free-website-translation.com/
Or can you talk a little bit more on the static page creation? I would just like the translation to be in Spanish which I already have. I owuld like a button but that just has spanish and englis so if people want to read my blog in spanish, they can just click the button.. not sure if this Free Website translation button does that.. I only saw that it directs you to a page to pick languages i dont want to have that step.. any ideas? if i cannot get automatic spanish transaltions, i would like to put static pages (pretty much a recreation of the english version) and somewhere on the site to have a click here for spanish or soemthing. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. I LOVE YOUR BLOG, so helpful, I just forwarded it to all my blogger contacts!
