FTP url

    Hello, I am transferring my wordpress free site to SiteGround and require the FTP host. Can you please provide this?

    Hey there,

    WordPress.com does not allow FTP. As this article notes,

    If you come across a WordPress tutorial that mentions FTP, then that documentation is for self-hosted sites running the open source version of WordPress available at WordPress.org. WordPress.com is a hosted service where you can get a free WordPress blog with options for paid upgrades, while WordPress.org is the open source software that you can download and install on your own web hosting account. Please see the WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org help page to learn more about the differences.
