Hi. I’m afraid you can’t edit footers on WordPress.com sites and only on WordPress.org self-hosted sites. You can find out the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org

Sigh … :(Click the member link under the username above and note what you find there. This blogger has already been told by kokkieh that removal of footer credit links is a Terms of Service violation.
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/ 11.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questionsThough removing footer credit links, which leads to the untrue assumption that you designed the theme and are hosting it is not allowed, it’s possible to add your own text to the footer area using CSS if you have purchased he Custom Design upgrade. Then you can include styling credit if you have done any unique styling and/or include a copyright notice. That is not done by editing the PHP at all.
I have also explained if a blogger has purchased a custom design upgrade he can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so he can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where he will get the help he needs.
Added info:
If all a blogger wants to do is to include a copyright many bloggers do that by including a copyright notice in a text widget.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/prevent-content-theft/#1-include-a-very-clear-copyright-notice-on-your-blog Some blogger like me link that text widget notice to a copyright page like this one http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/copyright/

Hi timethief. I don’t think this forum is for me. I keep getting things wrong.
From now on, I’ll only post on the forum when I need help.
Thanks,
Tom
