Error message when trying to post
-
Each time I try to upload a new article to my website (ww2diary.wordpress.com), I get the following message: ‘We’re sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred.’ Been happening for past days. Unable to post anything.
-
How exactly are you posting to the site? Is it via one of the apps, or via WordPress.com itself?

Thanks so much for your offer of assistance. I don’t use an app. I just go to my blog using my iPad and tap the button that looks like a document with a + symbol attached. That button is located in the upper right of my screen. I’ve successfully uploaded articles for over three years in this manner. Now I only get the error message. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am trying to add pictures to my library but, as of yesterday, I keep getting error messages. I have changed nothing… what could the problem be?

Hi @wwiidiary, Can you clear your browser’s cache (https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache) and even try a different browser?
@richardcrouse1, What’s your site’s address so we can have a look?
-
Not sure about how to clear browser’s cache or use a different browser on my iPad. My web address is ww2diary.wordpress.com
-
No problem. You can install the Chrome or Firefox browser to test (from app store) since the default is Safari in Apple devices.
-
Thanks! My site’s address is richardcrouse.ca
Also… I cleared out the cache and there was no change… I get an error message that says, ““Screen Shot 2020-02-21 at 3.01.35 PM.png” has failed to upload.
Missing a temporary folder.” -
Ok. That site does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. It’s actually set up on the other version of WordPress which is the open source software. Help for that comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
