Hello and thank you.

I am trying to embed an Amazon link with picture into a WP.com post. I am able to get the HTML quite easily. And, yes, I paste that code in the Text Editor. But after updating it all that appears is the link’s lengthy URL. No picture. This 90-second screencast might help. http://www.screencast.com/t/jLFBu2MM2wY.

The html has an iframe which is one of the html tags that is not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons.

Please check the Code support document to understand more about why certain code is not allowed.

So what you’re telling me is that HTML for commercial links are not permissible? And there’s no substitute to circumvent this? Thanks in advance.

It is not about commercial links. Html tags like iframe, Javascript and other code listed in the Code support document pose a security threat to the WordPress.com network.

This is why certain codes are not allowed. It has nothing to do with the commercial thing.

You can insert a link to the product on Amazon.com using the instructions in the Links support document.
