Emails to followers

Good Morning Everyone!
When we write a new blog, it automatically gets emailed to all of our subscribers. The only issue is, the entire post is included in the email. This means that people don’t necessarily go to our site. Is there a way to include just an excerpt from the post, and then a link to the rest? We are just trying to get some traffic to our site.Thanks!

Hi there, you’ll need to change a setting in the WP Admin dashboard at https://thecarpevitaeblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
On the right you’ll see “For each article in a feed, show…” and then two options: Full Text and Summary. Change the setting to “Summary” and make sure you save your settings. This setting also affects what is sent to those subscribed by email, but doesn’t change how your post appears the WordPressdotcom Reader.
