Email summaries not entire blog
-
When I push out a blog, how do I make it so that only a summary is sent via email, and not the entire blog? I would like to make sure people are actually coming to the site. If it makes a difference, I only have a free page.
Thanks in advance

Hi there – Try the following to send out a summary email notification to your followers when you publish a new post.
1. Go here: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/
2. Find “Feed Settings”.
3. Enable the setting for “Limit feed to excerpt only”.
4. Click the Save Settings button to save the change.
Once you have done this, all post email notifications to your followers from this point forward will show only a summary. They will need to click to read the full post.

No worries; you shouldn’t: it’s kind of an obscure setting. We accidentally just got ahead of ourselves and answered you twice. :)
