Dyad 2: can i replace the word 'FEATURED' on slider with something else?
-
Where it says ‘featured’ in the blue bar of the slider on the frontpage… can i replace this with text of my choosing?
I know you can have a static image and use the tagline to put text there, but i want to feature posts there on the slider witout it saying featured!
Is this possible?

Hi there,
Did you check Dyad 2 theme documentation under Featured Content Slider, which talks about choosing a special tag and displaying posts under Featured Content Slider. You can set a tag as with a text of your choice instead of Featured and it will display the same in the Featured Content Slider.
https://wordpress.com/theme/dyad-2Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Hi yes I did. I know I can use a custom tag but it still says ‘featured’ there no matter what I use. Unless I’m mistaken? Thanks

Hi again,
I think The Featured text in the Featured Content Slider is how Dyad 2 theme is designed and changing the same would require Custom CSS which is available for Premium and Business plan users.
I have tagged modlook in the side bar for staff to confirm the same.
Thank you.

Hi sharpefilms,
Dyad 2 doesn’t provide the option to change the ‘Featured’ content heading — this text is hard coded into the theme.
CSS can be used to insert an additional word after Featured but it won’t be possible to remove that word entirely and replace it with another. As @iamrishaan mentioned, custom CSS is only available through the Premium and Business plans.
Come back to me if you have any questions.

Ok. So if I get a premium or business plan I can replace it or remove it?
Thanks for the help

Hi sharpefilms,
You could remove the Featured heading entirely. Or you could add an additional word but it won’t be possible to reword the Featured text.

Custom CSS is not included with the Personal plan. As Gemma mentioned, Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans.
