Dropped Followers, Inability to Login, and Other Fun
-
I just wrote a post complaining about some specific issues I’ve had with WordPress within the past year or two (https://chelseaannowens.com/2020/03/04/dammit-wordpress/ Also see the comments, for other users’ issues).
* Sites I am following do not indicate that at the bottom, with a disabled ‘Follow’ button.
* When I attempt to comment on a friend’s post, I need to login every time.
* Some attempts to login never succeed; whereas, in the past, I would stay logged in and not have to fill out ‘Name,’ ‘E-mail address,’ and ‘Website’ EVERY TIME.
* Sites I have been following disappear. Sites that have followed me drop from my list. In cases where I’ve noticed, the site owners say they did not drop me.I realize these may be browser permission errors, yet I’ve encountered the problems from my phone, personal computers, and Kindle. If I have no good way to connect with my WordPress community, relationships (personal and professional) suffer.

Hi, sorry you’ve had a rough time. Let’s see if we can knock out the most important issue first.
Please let us know:
– Which issue matters most to you first?
And:
– Send a few examples of sites that have the disabled follow button
– A link to your friends affected post
– Clarification: this login issues affects only this friend’s site or every site?
– A few examples of sites you’ve followed that fell off the list (if you have them)We’ll go from there.
