Hi,
I already own a domain name, but no longer have a website associated with it. I am still paying for the domain name as I wanted to keep it, and so I’d like to know how to go about transferring it to this new WordPress site I want to create, how much it will cost, etc.

Would you like to keep your domain name registered with your current hosting provider? or would you like to move it over to be managed by WordPress.com?
If you would like to keep your domain name with your current hosting provider but have it point to your site at WordPress.com, you can set up what’s called a domain connection. You can read more about how to connect your domain to your WordPress.com site here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
If you would like to transfer your domain so that both your domain and website are hosted at WordPress.com, you can do so by following this guide here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/incoming-domain-transfer/
The yearly cost of the URL per year will depend on the domain extension (.org, .com, .xyz, etc.) you can find more information about that here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/
So the total cost of hosting your site and URL with WordPress.com will ultimately depend on
cost of the TLD and the hosting plan you choose.Hope this helps!
