Does wordpress.com supports iframe?
I want to that can WordPress allow iframe code in its html widget.
My blog is http://islambestreligion.wordpress.com/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, for security reasons you cannot use Iframes. You would need a self-hosted wordpress.org blog to do that. However there are a lot of widgets available, let us know what you are trying to do and we can tell you whether there is a way.

@syedsirajuddinsohail,
If you really need an iframe widget to show up in your wordpress.com blog, you might want to take a look at a workaround:

i’m having the same problem. i would like to use Facebook Likebox in my wordpress.com blog….any chances to do so??
-
i had read sanjisdas suggestion, but that is not what im hopping is to use iframe without flash as it will guide us to a new window. it is good if the visitor can directly ‘like’ in the blog it self.
-
What are you trying to accomplish? Just getting a LIKE option? The WordPress Like is built in, and there’s a thread in the forum on adding a Facebook Like.
-
thanks raincoaster, but i think you had get me wrong. what i mean with ‘like’ option is for my blog visitor have an option to like my facebook fan page and not my post. any idea??
-
@azmirkhalid:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-badge/There are 4 options, include “like” for your fan page.
-
thanks duto for your reply. i had used facebook-badge in my blog. what im looking for is facebook “like box” function. in facebook, they only give code option for iFrame and XFBML and both are not supported by WP. did i miss something or it is just me that do not find the way??
btw, my blog is http://www.azmirkhalid.com

Do you mean like the one on the right sidebar of my blog? If you like it, we do not need to change any code. I only change “_TOP” into “_blank” do to open in other tab.

this is what im trying to get into my blog.

-
duto, don’t pimp your blog out in the forum. That has NO relevance.
Here is how to have a Facebook Like button on your blog: it does not require iframes.

I was too harsh, but just specifically focus on the question asked.
People are often reading .org instructions and ignoring .com instructions. Just point them to the specific thread that answers the question.

The workaround I gave allows readers to access the likebox right in your blog without opening it in a new window. First a visitor clicks a text link in a box and then the text link is replaced by the Facebook likebox right in that box, right in your blog.
See an example here:
How to add a Facebook Likebox in a wordpress.com blog – part 2You must understand that It’s NOT possible to show the likebox that is visible instantly in wordpress.com because of code restriction.
-
so no iframes on wordpress.COM? I wanted to put in a market snapshot widget so my clients could sign up for the info.

Is this not allowed on wordpress.com, only .org?

No iFrames on WordPress.com. That is correct. But that code doesn’t seem to have any iFrames. It seems to be somewhat munged, actually.
