Dns records

  • Hi,
    I am migrating the website from WordPress to another platform and its requested to add 1 A record, 1 AAAA record and 1 CNAME record for the subdomain WWW in the domain dns settings.

    I am checking the DNS settings where the domain is hosted and there are multiple records. I am not sure which ones are related to the website in WordPress so I can delete them to avoid any conflict with multiple A and AAAA records.

    Please see below the current DNS records:

    ftp A 3600. 78.153.210.10
    @. A. 3600 78.153.210.10
    www. A. 3600. 78.153.210.10
    @. AAAA. 3600. 2a01:a8:dc0:334:1::5f8
    www. AAAA. 3600. 2a01:a8:dc0:334:1::5f8

    Which ones are used to connect the domain on the wordpress website?
    Thanks

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  • Hi @thaiejanki! I don’t see that you have a domain connected to your WordPress.com account, and none of the DNS records you showed me here trace back to a WordPress.com IP address. Are you trying to connect your domain to WordPress.com, or to another host? If another host, you’ll need to verify the records you showed me with the records they want you to have.
