Disappeared Videos

    Hi, about a month ago was auto-renewed my Premium Plan. I have some videos uploaded before the renewing which works good on my site. But after the renewing the Plan these videos disappeared from my Media Library. I only can see the newly uploaded videos. Thank you for helping.

    Hi readymix56,

    I’ve checked your Media Library for whatsupusa.me and I can several files have been deleted but none of them were videos. Would you be able to send me a link to the post or page where the missing videos were being used?

    Hi, thanks for your answer. Currently I have 7 videos in my Media Library. But for example on the post , there are two videos which the Library doesn’t content. A total of 33 WP-videos are missing from the Library but are visible on the website. It’s possible that after the change of my Plan from Business to Premium something gone wrong. Thank you.

    Can you please clear your browser’s cache and try loading that page again? If the problem persists please make sure that you disable any security or ad-blocking extensions that you might have installed on your browser and try again.

    The website is OK.

    But as you can see, this is all the videos I see in my Media Library although should be much more there. The two videos on I uploaded earlier and also many others, you can’t find in the Library. Uploaded videos before Aug., 2017 are disappeared from the Library. ??? Question: After renewing of the Plan will be lost the previously uploaded videos from the library?

    Where are the other videos?

    Also these two videos are missing from the library as many other.

    Hi!
    No missing WP-videos on pages or posts, you can see all of them. All the videos I’ve uploaded can be seen on pages and posts. But my Media Library doesn’t contain them all. There are only 7 videos:

    What I meant was to give me a post or page where the video is appearing correctly but at the same time is missing from the Media Library.

    To answer your initial question about losing your videos if you upgrade to another plan, this won’t happen because those videos are safely stored in our VideoPress servers.

    As long as you know the videos’ shortcodes you’ll be able to embed them in your site.

    If you like to get those videos back to your Media LIbrary then you can visit the video post, right click on it and select the save video as option. After downloading it to your computer you can re-upload it to your Media Library.

    I’m still trying to figure out what happened to those videos though and will update you as soon as I have more information.

    I can’t receive your last email, notification doesn’t work.
    If I reload my missing videos in the Library, my this year storage would run out. :)
    But maybe I can help you to find out the issue. I suppose that the videos have been disappeared from the library when I switched back to premium from business plan. The switching caused some bad changes on my websites. The content and setting of the free and the paid website mixed up. The problem was solved by WP-support. No content was lost. Only the videos got lost from the Library.
    Can you maybe check my chat flow back on 3, 4, 6, August, 2017?

    Hi there,

    I belive I have located what is casuing the videos to not show up in your media library. It seems that the underlying .wordpress.com part of your domain has changed a few times.

    We are looking into if it’s possible to restore the videos to the media library and will report back when we have an update.

    Thank you for your effort. After plan switching the content was copied from one domain into another. It’s likely that copying of videos has been omitted. Now, my two domains are https://whatsupusa.me/ (active) and https://csillavilag.wordpress.com/ (empty).
