Difference V. Featured Content & ?

Just created a website/blog and I have a question.

What is the difference between “Featured Content” and the “Blog” section, titled “Structure It Right” at the top? https://laeditor.wordpress.com/blog/

The Featured Content is a default blog post when a new site is created.

Therefore, it’s the same as the “Structure It Right” blog post.

You can delete the Featured Content post by clicking on the Blog section.

I see. What then is the “Featured Content”? Not sure why WordPress would have 2 blog post formats on one website. Thanks.

Every theme has a detailed theme description page. The site at http://laeditor.wordpress.com/ is wearing this theme https://wordpress.com/theme/lovecraft and that’s where set up instructions for it, the features of it, and the live demo site link is found.

All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ where we have a search box as the most prominent feature on the page.
