Delete post meta data entries update post title style of 'more art.' in Oxygen
-
Hi,
Three questions re customizing the Oxygen them (I have bought the design upgrade):
1. Is it possible to get ret of some of the post meta data, but not all? I would like to keep the date, and get rid of the categories and the author data. I already added:
entry-meta .byline {
display: none;
}
.entry-meta .sep {
display: none;
}in the custom css, but then the actual category titles were still displayed (whereas I though ‘sep’ should take care of that?)
2. Related: when you hover on the date, you see the publication time. Can I delete that?
3. The post titles under ‘more articles’ use a different font than the one that I selected for all titles. (I think it uses the original default or something). How can I make sure that it will also use the font I chose for the other post titles? I also want to give this the same styling (font colour etc).
All help greatly appreciated!

Here are 1 and 2. I’m working on 3 for you now.
1. Remove the entry-meta byline and sep rules you have and add the following at the top of your current custom CSS. I’ve used a general rule to hide all the meta data and then used a more specific rule to make the date visible.
.entry-meta { visibility: hidden; } .entry-meta .entry-date { visibility: visible; }
2. I know of no way to hide the publish time on hover.
-
3. Add this to your custom CSS for the entry title color and font change on the main page.
.wf-active h1.entry-title a { font-family: ff-market-web-1,ff-market-web-2,"Abel","Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; color: #446B91; }
If you also want to change the color of the post titles once you click through to a single post page, add the following also.
.wf-active h1.entry-title { color: #446B91; }

No 1 worked like a charm :-), No 2 is clear, but…
No 3 doesn’t work unfortunately; it somehow loses the FF Market font alltogether. So I am getting consistent fonts throughout, just not the FF Market font that I want.
Could this code have something to do with it?
.entry-title {
text-transform: none;
}.entry-title a:hover {
text-decoration: none;
}Do you know what I do wrong?
Thanks!

The text-transform and text-decoration properties shouldn’t be a problem.
I tested the #3 example thesacredpath provided earlier on http://amsteloost.com/ using my browser’s developer tools, and it worked for me. Can you try double checking to make sure the latest CSS snippet you tried to add is really getting saved? If you have any trouble saving, let me know.

Unfortunately, there must be something wrong. I double checked, saved it, looked at it live and the situation is as I described: it has lost FF Market on all post titles (except for the ‘more articles’ heading – but again not showing up in the titles in the more articles category). I tried deleting all those text referencs in the ccs and only leave the code you provided, with a similar effect.
So the saving is definitely not the problem.
What am I doing wrong?

Hmmmm, it works for me too, but let’s try the following with different selectors.
.hfeed-more .entry-title a { font-family: ff-market-web-1,ff-market-web-2,"Abel","Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; color: #446B91; } .wf-active .entry-title { color: #446B91; }

Just one more thing, re point no 2. If I would like to show the tags of a post, similar to the date, what would the handle be called? It’s not .entry-tag .entry-tags .tag or .tags I think, because that did not work.
thanks!

Looking at this post is an example:
http://amsteloost.com/2013/07/30/haagen-dazs/The tags at the bottom of the post below the sharing icons can be targeted using this selector:
.single footer.entry-meta
