    Is there a way to remove the date from our URL?

    Hi @poliarchivist, yes and no: on our servers, the date will always appear automatically on articles.

    But static pages and portfolio items won’t have a date in the URL. You can create pages here:
    https://wordpress.com/page

    And, if your site is on a Business or eCommerce plan (or if you’re managing your own installation elsewhere) the post date in the URL can be removed through changes to the Permalink settings. We just don’t offer that unless you have on of those plans that allows those types of customizations (and is thus more complex to maintain and support).
