CSS for navigation menu items 2 (Theme: Twenty Fourteen)
-
In the forum I posted before this one, some had shown me how to un-bold text for menu items that had their corresponding pages active. For example, if I was on my “About Me” page, this code (posted by justpi) –
#access .current-menu-item > a, #access .current-menu-ancestor > a, #access .current_page_item > a, #access .current_page_ancestor > a { font-weight: normal; }
– would un-bold the corresponding “About Me” menu item.
The problem: this code doesn’t work with the Twenty Fourteen theme. What should I do?

Different themes have different HTML structure, so the corresponding CSS differs, too. You can you this for Twenty Fourteen:
.site-navigation .current-menu-item > a { font-weight: normal; }
This only un-bold the current page menu, as sub-menu items under a current page’s menu are already non-bold by default.
