Creating second site using original dashboard

    I have a new URL and will be creating a new site. Can I create the site thru the Dashboard I currently use to manage my main site, or do I have to start from scratch? I realize there are plugins such as “ManageWP”, but that would seem to be made for insertion after the sites have been created. The new site will be a different theme from the one I’m using on my main site, and I am concerned about switching themes.

    Are you creating a new site on WordPress.com, or do you want to set up a self-hosted site using the open source WordPress software, like your site at http://edberlinermedia.com/?

    To make a new WordPress.com site, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and follow the steps to create a new free address, and then you can connect your domain you already have via the Domain Mapping option.

    To set up a new self-hosted site, you’ll need to install a new instance of the WordPress software at your hosting provider, and this might require you upgrade your hosting plan if your current plan does not allow for multiple sites. The exact process how you do that will depend on your host, so please contact them directly for help in that case.
