Contact forms and attachments

  • Is it possible to set up the contact form so that it allows someone using it to attach a pdf or Word document?
Or failing that, is there a way of setting it up so that the text area option reproduces formatting exactly as entered?

I’m running a private poetry competition, and I’m trying to sort out the best way for people to send their entries. Just straight copy-and-paste into a Text Area won’t hold on to things like italics or mid-line spaces. I can’t ask them to do any coding, so it needs to be a simple as possible.

    Help?

  • Hi there,

The WordPress.com contact form does not offer a file upload option, nor does it allow formatting – anything added there is added in plain text.

But we support embedding forms from JotForm, and those forms do support uploading attachments. You’ll need to create an account on JotForm to use those:
