Changing font size in widgets
-
I don’t really know how to use CSS. How can I reduce the font sizes of the text in my widgets? If you look at my page (http://springforreform.org), you’ll see the fonts for recent Posts, Follow Blog & Twitter are too large. I’d appreciate any assistance.

I’ve been trying to figure this out too! I figured out how to change all of the text (ie header and subpoints) but I can’t figure out how to change JUST the subpoints.

Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question when you post to these support forum. Also note that all CSS is theme specific. The theme help for CSS editing here in this thread is for the Contempt theme only, so if you are not also CSS editing Contempt then you need to post your own thread. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform -
I’m still not sure how to fix the widget font sizes in (http://springforreform.org). My problem is that this address is my primary blog address. But, when I was playing around with layouts, I created test blogs. I liked the Contempt layout i had here: http://reformtest5.wordpress.com/.
But, when I applied the Contempt template on my primary site, the widget fonts came out all big. the only thing I can think of is that I paid for custom design on the primary site, and there were some font size settings there? But I don’t know why that would mess up the template’s widget font sizes.
Is there a way to reset my primary site’s fonts back to the Contempt template specs?

To reduce the font size for widget text in the Contempt theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page:
#sidebar { font-size: 1.2em !important; }
The “!important” part is needed to override the font size setting for body text from your Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page.

Certainly. To set font sizes back to the default ones used by the theme, go to Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts, click the arrow next to each font selection, click the “Revert” button, and then click the “Save fonts” button. And in case you have any font-related CSS, you should remove that from your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page.

THANK YOU! Okay, I just tried your instructions for reducing the widget text font size…and it works in the preview. But, I would like to reduce further. What font size would that be?
THANKS AGAIN!
