Bug in the rich text editor (deletes two spaces)

  • If you have typed a single letter of a new word, and you click delete, it actually deletes two characters (the letter, and the space before it).

    E.G:

end of the sentence. I_ (where the cursor is after the I)

    Click delete and it becomes

    end of the sentence._

Surely it should leave the space there? It’s just annoying that occasionally the cursor slips away from where it probably should be.

  • i don’t use the rich text editor presently but the times i did i don’t remember a ‘delete’ button? if you want to delete a letter from a word, why don’t you just press backspace on your keyboard? or am i getting the wrong idea here?

  • I think you should sumbit a feedback in your admin panel, and such things do ocassionally happen, and remember, as this is a partial-test site, just bear with it too.

  • It’s a TinyMCE issue and has already been reported and fixed. We’ll probably have to wait though for the next roll out to get it fixed here though.
