Blog doesn’t appear in menu bar anymore

    I just been on my website and it seems like on any page I go, the ‘blog’ disappeared from the menu bar – not sure how as I have seen it there all day and it suddenly disappeared. Yeelp!

    Hey there! I see you added a button to the page; that’ll work! You can also edit your menu like this:
    https://wordpress.com/support/menus/

    If you wanted to get extra fancy, you could even add your latest articles to the front page. And there are several ways to go about that, but one of the easiest is to edit the page, insert a pattern, and pick one of the blog templates. That way your latest posts will show up there for you:

    Hi. In a Google search I found a cache of the site captainruxee.wordpress.com from early November 2022 where a different theme was in use on the site, and a navigation bar that includes a “Blog” menu item was present. The Tú theme presently activated on the site doesn’t support menus via the customizer. I suspect that when you switched themes the custom menu previously displayed was replaced by a default pages menu. Such a menu would only include items that link to static pages.

    Menus on the Tú theme are created and managed in the site editor. It’s not clear to me whether it will be necessary to create a new menu. If so, then the relevant instructions and a video tutorial are found in the Create a Menu in the Site Editor section of the Create a Menu support page.

    If you only need to add an item (“Blog”) to the present menu, then instructions on how add new menu items in the Site Editor are found in the Add Menu Items in the Site Editor section of the Add Links to a Menu support page. A video tutorial is also provided there.

    Nice sleuthing @musicdoc1, thanks for a solid reply.

    I can confirm that there was a theme switch a few days ago so it’s possible the menu item was lost in that move. It’s difficult to say at this point, but thankfully it’s easy to fix as you’ve pointed out.

    To get the link for “Blog” back in your menu you will want to use the second option @musicdoc1 gave above. The video on that page will definitely help walk you through it.
