Best Widget to Add External Link to Discussion Forum?

Hello and thank you,

I want to add a forum to my wordpress.com site. I am using the phpBB forum site, forummotion. I’ve already created it. Now I just need to right widget to which I can link the external link to the forum. What’s the best widget to use for this? Thanks.

WordPress.com does not have any built in integration for forum embedding. And I suspect that most embed codes provided by others will not work here.

The link would not be an embed code. It would simply be an external link. Here’s the link: http://sangabrieltutor.forumotion.com/. Just thought that there would be an optimum widget to which I could link that. Thanks.

You could either use a plain text widget:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

Or perhaps come up with an eyecatching graphic or image and use the image widget:
