Hi! While I’m not familiar with
ai.humanwriter.com
as a site, it sounds like that type of connection is something that can be done on plugin-enabled sites, but likely not free WordPress.com sites. Would you like to share a little more about what you’re wanting to do, so we can help point you in the right direction? -
@robinb1d260a247 – this may be helpful:
There may be some apps that connect to your WordPress.com account that don’t yet fully support two-step authentication. The most common are Jabber apps used to subscribe to WordPress.com blogs. You can generate unique passwords for these apps (e.g., you can have a different password on your phone and tablet). You can then disable individual passwords and lock applications out of your account to prYou need to enable 2FA first, then add an application specific password as needed. Can you confirm this is for your @robinb1d260a247 account?

Hi, the above method worked and I was able to create the application password. But when I tried to connect it with the 3rd party app, I got an error saying they could not connect to my account with this credential. Is this because I’m on a free wordpress.com plan?

I understand that navigating through technical issues can be frustrating, and I appreciate your efforts in trying to connect the application. It’s important to consider that the application password might not be the correct credential for this service, or there could be a requirement for a Business or Commerce plan that allows the use of plugins to authorize the connection.
Upon examining the HumanWriter website more closely, it seems to offer an AI-driven service for automatically generating articles to publish on your website. It’s worth noting that such automated content generation could fall within the category of “machine-generated content,” which is not permitted according to our User Guidelines on WordPress.com.
I empathize with the challenges you may be facing in this situation. To move forward, I suggest reaching out to the support team of HumanWriter to understand their specific requirements for establishing a connection. Once you have gathered this information, please feel free to get back in touch with us, sharing the details of your conversation and how you intend to use the service. Thank you.
