How can I add a logo above the title in the Oulipo layout?
-
I would like to add an image/logo to appear in the left column white space above the blog title (Rugged Filly), preferably aligning with the title of the first post. I purchased the CSS upgrade but what code do I need to add to the CSS to achieve this or is it even possible? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yeah, that can be done. You will need to make the logo/image 160px wide x 180px tall, upload it to the media library and then add the following CSS and put in the URL of the uploaded image.
#main-nav { background: url("URL of logo") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; margin: 0; padding-top: 9em; }

Fantastic! Now is it possible to make my blog title and tagline transparent so that the logo doesn’t overlap it? Thanks so much.

This will do it. The last bit is to fix an error in the theme where the navigation links (about, etc.) are too far left and get cut off by the left margin of the div after doing the “overflow:hidden” .
#main-nav { overflow:hidden } #main-nav h1, #main-nav .description { margin-left: -500px; } #main-nav li a { padding: 6px 0 3px 17px; }
Do note that you are going to have to create a custom menu and include a “home” tab in it since the title is no longer there (it was the way back to the site main page).
