Activating account issues

For the past year I’ve been trying to confirm my email for wordpress and Gravatar.
I’ve had the confirmation email send multiple times, I get the email, click the link, and it says it was successful. Nothing is going into spam or trash.
I go to use Gravatar and I can’t login. It gives the following message:
We sent you a confirmation email! We sent an email to <My Email Address> when you signed up for Gravatar. In this email you will find a link that, when clicked, will bring you back to a confirmation page. Once you've confirmed your email, you can start using Gravatar. If for some reason you did not receive the confirmation email, visit the WordPress.com help page where you can find a link to resend the confirmation email. If you are still having trouble, feel free to get in touch and we'll do our best to get you sorted!
For WordPress, I can access it, but can’t do much. I can’t create a menu. It states:
To continue, please confirm your email address Click the link in the email we sent to <My Email Address>.
How many more times do I need to reconfirm my email/account, before I can do anything?
I’ve tried on Chrome, FireFox and IE.
Yes, I’m using the proper email address.
Yes, my password is correct. I reset it a couple of times as well.
No, I’m not doing anything wrong, that I can tell.
Yes, I checked the “support/FAQs” which has been 100% useless.Any help would be nice.

Just to add, when I go to my WP dashboard it states:
Please Verify Your Email Address In order to publish posts, please verify your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email that we sent to <My Email Address>
Again, I’ve verified this multiple times, with the same results, nothing happens.
