Account connections and disconnecting accounts – Google Photos
-
I’m really excited to see Google Photos added to our options for Media uploads https://en.support.wordpress.com/photos-from-google/
If I understand correctly, inserting an image from Google Photos uploads it to your site’s Media Library so it would also count against your storage limit, as I believe inserting from URL does today.
Also, is it possible to connect more than one Google account on a site? It might be relevant for multi-author sites.
One thing I didn’t see in that Support guide is how to disconnect the Google account from your WordPress.com site. In the past this was done from https://wordpress.com/me/security/connected-applications Is this still the case?
Thanks for listening.

Hi Jennifer,
I checked with the dev who worked on this feature.
Images will be pulled into the media library and count against storage, yes.
Each user on a site can connect their own Google Photos account, so it’s per user, but each username account can only have one Google Photos account linked.
The disconnect option for this is also under My Site ->Sharing, along with the Publicize features. We’ll add that to the doc. Thanks for pointing it out.
