Community Pool

Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.

Note: The Community Pool will be closed for maintenance between April 9-16. See you back on April 23!

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. Hey 🙂 Read your top 10 Non-touristy things to do in NYC and loved it. Was intrigued to hear what else New York can offer apart from the usual Statue of Liberty, Central Park and Greenwich Village attractions.

Enjoyed the read! Keep up the good work

  1. Greetings to all the wonderful bloggers out here!
I hope the week has started off well for you all. Well this time I’ve tried something new. It’s a narrative post, a diary entry precisely. It’s purely my imagination. I would say that it’s my take on a social introvert’s day or maybe of any introvert in general. It’s my first time posting something like this, so I’m a tad bit skeptical of the reader’s response. The link is posted below.

    A Page From The Diary

I would be really happy to know of your views on it. Your feedback is much welcomed, appreciated and valuable for me as it will help me to improvise on my posts in the future, thereby presenting better content to you.
Do feel free to navigate around the blog to check out the various other posts.
    Thanks!
    Have a wonderful week ahead.

    1. I love quizzes. The ones on your site look great.
Your dream to visit every country is ambitious but really awesome. It’s incredible that you’ve already visited over 100. I’m so jealous.

  2. If you’re a fan of horror stories, snarky reviews of bad horror movies, and discovering indie artists, check out my blog!

I recently finished up my 4 part short story series “Independence.” About a girl that moves into a haunted house with some dark secrets. Here’s the link to part 4: https://wp.me/p9caBD-cA

Finally, since it’s the first week of the month, I’ll be featuring a different indie artist, writer, podcast, and YouTuber. I just posted my first writer’s interview this morning. Check that out here:

  3. Hey the pool’s back open! Yay! I’ll do my blogging duty and review some of my fellow blogger’s posts, but not without some shameless self promotion first. If you like a recent post, please comment! If you hate a recent post, please still comment! I’d love to hear feedback so I can improve. Thanks y’all

  4. Morning all,
I’ve just published a post detailing my thoughts on maintaining a balance between work and play, as well as flexing that creative muscle.
    https://jacobshull.com/2018/04/02/on-creation-v-consumption-working-the-write-muscle/

I’m thinking more about making my blog into a writer style blog, and I would love some feedback. It would be nice to find some like-minded writers out there to start up a conversation with. 🙂 Also, let me know if you have any writing you’d like to have critiqued. I would love to help out my fellow writers.

    Have a good day!

  6. Hello WordPress!

I’m writing horror haikus all month for NaPoWriMo and posted the first one over my own photo. I’m wondering now if the image and the poem should be separate. Any input is appreciated!

  7. In and Out of Patterns – A closet full of Myself!

“Our humanity rests upon a series of learned behaviors, woven together into patterns that are infinitely fragile and never directly inherited.”

    -Margaret Mead

Don’t we feel at times that each individual we meet is somewhere playing a role assigned to him? As if he is following a script handed to him with no scope for creativity or open-endedness.

Early childhood experiences leave a repetitive patterns of existence. The individual views the outer world through a fixed window of his past experiences.

Lets get under our skin and take a tour of what these patterns could mean to us and how they affect our perception of reality.

Do give your views and feedback!

    Happy intellecting❤🍻
