Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Great! I’m listening to an audio book recommended by a blogger on here, by Ruth Ware. I’m starting to pick up more book review posts. 🙂

An audiobook is always a good option since you can multi-task while listening to a book. I hope you’ll be able to follow me. I usually post once a week and review the book I read that week. Or I also post about books I’m looking forward to read.

I drive all over the country for work, audios are so much more convenient and they keep me sane while driving!
LikeLiked by 2 people
Yes, I totally agree listening to audiobooks while driving keeps me sane too and less cranky when someone cuts me. LOL! I usually borrow both the book and audiobook from the library. And it is because I sometimes want to see the print version most especially the illustrations. Like, the book I’m reading right now.

My second comment to to encourage other bloggers who feel that they are struggling with getting followers and readership. Please do not give up. Be consistent. Write with a passion. Blogging is like have a pet. You need to give it quality attention. Don’t fall into the trap of asking people to follow up and you have little to impart. Hone your craft, fall in love with your own writing. Engage other bloggers and the followers and readership will come as a consequence. Peace ✌️

Hello everyone! 🙂 It’s Monday and I decided to deal with the topic of violence. Why? It is very important to me. We all write about our recipes, travels, technology issues and the world is cool. But maybe we should encourage more people to talk openly about their torturers? Shouldn’t we stand by those who are victims? Do you ever think about the violence statistics? Here’s what I wrote: https://wp.me/p8JFLn-BZ Our life goal should to be to be a good human ❤

I’m rubbish at being exact with my schedule. I always seem to manage to post 1-2 posts per week. But I publish them on random days whenever they are ready.
I find it quite interesting to see the reactions I can get by posting at various times/days of the week.
I normally get a better reaction by posting on weeknights (Wednesday or Thursday) vs the weekend.

Great post! My schedule is very random. Generally was around 4-6 posts a month which worked well as they were quite long posts. I’ve added a couple of shorter posts this month and I seem to have doubled my posting without a pattern. But I’ve had a couple of blogger award posts and they are easy to write as apposed to the history research I generally have to do. Good luck with your blog!

I loved the post about being charged for water. In America, you don’t get charged for tap water. I would understand being charged for water if the country was in a big drought but other than that it is just ridiculous. They are probably getting the water from the sink and how can you be charged for that?

I have no idea, it is the first time I’ve been charged and dont think it is widespread, but it was definitely straight out the tap
