Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here.   8. Okay, it says you have to post your first post so here is mine: https://wp.me/p9xNvX-4 but the one after it is my first PROPER post and I’d really appreciate any feedback! I moved to Paris shortly before Christmas and last week finally plucked up the courage to start documenting my adventures here! I love writing put haven’t ever put anything out for other people to see… scary stuff!

    1. You might want to add an about page to your blog.
      As to why you have 2 pictures… I think it’s one of two thing. Did you set this picture as a “featured image” while you were creating your post? Maybe you did, and then you pasted it at the top of the post, too?
      Or, if not, then it grabs the first image you enter as a header image for the post, hence the double.
      I just do a feature image. You can then add some in between your paragraphs, but you don’t have to.
      Let me know if this answers it.

  20. I’ve checked out almost all of the blogs posted till now. Some good ones. I’m exhausted, so I gotta stop for now.

    I urge you newbies, to actually check out other new blogs, so that you can grow together. And to check out blog of those who commented as well, since that is how a lot of great relationships are built here.
