Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Hey everyone,
I recently started a writing and lifestyle blog and this past weekend reached a milestone 575 followers, which I’m very excited about! I write on a variety of things including life experience, travel and design; often with my quirky sense of humor infused in.
I recently did a piece on procrastination and how it’s important to take action in the enticingly flawed “now”.
I hope that you’ll take a moment to check out my blog, and of course, I’m happy to return the gesture!

Hi, I ready your ‘wordy’ post! ‘. . .verbs – oh my!’ Forgive me for forgetting the title several times! I even lost your post on CP and had to trawl 3 times! But I invested time in reading your post and wanted to comment on how I enjoyed it. Congrats on your followers, great achievement. I have a fraction of that at the moment 🙂
I have also written a post about words. To be honest, it’s not my favourite and it was hard to write at first but I was challenging myself to get back to writing the blog and it was the first original thing I’d written (and completed) in a while.

Hi, read your reviews and especially liked the quotes you picked out of The Alchemist.
If I were you I’d play around with the themes and colors some more. I also recommend listing just 3-5 recent posts in your sidebar or it gets cluttered.

Hi there Lorna! You’ve got a fantastic and new list to de-stress that doesn’t really include the typical go-tos like the internet says (as you mentioned). And what do you know? I found myself realizing I do some of those things anyways to de-stress. So cool!
Your blog looks lovely and I can’t wait to check it out some more! You’ve got a great voice for your audience and that definitely pulled me in. 😃 All the best! 💫

I generally try to avoid making my blog into “logbook” while I’m traveling because I typically enjoy writing creative nonfiction from what happens. I have been getting behind on posting (because of having fun and lack of internet access), so I turned this weeks post into more logbook style to catch my readers up. I would LOVE some feedback to see how this worked as compared to previous posts.
Give me a follow if you like, our trip will soon continue on to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
As always, I look forward to returning feedback to others!

It’s definitely a different way of living. It’s kind of like an alternative to tiny house living or traveling in a camper van–our boat is our current home so it’s extremely cheap. But, for people who don’t plan to move permanently onto a boat there are charters you can hire to travel for short trips or even applying for positions as crew on boats (sometimes these don’t even require experience! for example, we were thinking about finding someone else to join us for some of our longer passages for no cost to them, other than paying for food and the travel to get to us!). There are lots of ways to explore this world of ours.

I have a personal blog with multiple interests. This week I wrote about baking and nature! https://crowdedmind.co/ but am thinking of starting another blog with a single topic and maybe trying to make some money. Came upon a good piece of advice today for all those that ask how to find their niche. Take a notepad and paper and create headed columns for topics that you wish to write about, Fishing. Cooking etc then write down 20 post ideas under each topic header. When you are writing down the post ideas, think about what you are going to write in those posts. This process alone will help you remove 2-3 topics from the list.
Now, start blogging for two weeks on the topics that remain on your list. In two weeks, you will be able to determine which is your strongest topic, and thus the one you should use. Then I read this https://obstacle.co/blog-niches/

My blog is a lot like yours (no niche) but I love this idea, it’s a great way to figure out your strengths! Thanks!
