If you’re not new and are looking for support or feedback, the Community Pool is the place for you!

For technical questions, visit the WordPress.com Support Forums.

To learn more about blogging, take a Blogging U. course.

To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.

Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

    1. Welcome!

It looks like you’ve put all the text of your post into the area where the title is meant to be — you might want to edit it, and cut-and-paste all the text into the main area of the post.

  1. Hi my name is Cerys (it’s Welsh) and I am a new blogger that would love some advice and suggestions on my blog. I am looking at doing fashion journalism next year which is why I have started this blog so any comments that anyone could provide would be amazing even simply liking a post of mine. Below I have linked my first post called Introduction (an original title I know) and also a direct link to my site. Thank you so much xx

  2. Hey hey,

I decided to start this blog to hold myself accountable as I work through a year of NO BOOZE and personal growth. The payoff is a trip to Patagonia at the end. I started this a few weeks back but have the posts rolling now, please check it out and let me know your thoughts! Here’s my first post:

    1. Welcome!

It looks like when you added tags to your posts, they added as one big block rather than individual tags — you’ll want to edit your post, delete the tags you have now, and add them one at a time.

  3. Hello! I’m a mother of 2 toddlers and a 5 month old hoping to find self love and purpose in the midst of a stressful life. I hope to inspire at least one of the 600,000 women suffering from post partum depression and any mom’s around the world who need a reminder of how awesome mom’s are through my own experiences. My first blog along with my second “Intro” shine a light in what my blog is about. Feedback is welcome. https://mommynato.wordpress.com/2017/10/05/greetings/

    1. This is such an important thing for new mothers to receive support on as the depths of post partum depression can be extremely isolating and disorienting. Thank you for bravely and selflessly deciding to share your experiences with a wider audience. I hope many women draw inspiration and strength from your valuable insights.

Although I’m not a mom yet, I plan to follow your blog and look forward to the wealth of inspiration and support it will no doubt provide. 🙂

Writing is just like Flow of the Emotions so it dont remain unexpressed and Killing. Let it flow and stay Relaxed. I made my page just yesterday so please do visit and check my work 😊

  9. I am a new blogger, started just 04 October 2017. I would like to thank Madam Michelle Weber for posting and welcoming the new bloggers like me to give us an opportunity to stand-out to the crowd.

I would like to learn more from her, my respect to Madam Michelle Weber.

TO ALL: Please help me to spread the words of God. I am asking kindly to get your spare time by reading my blog, it’s an autobiography. And the Author is speaking in front of you a Filipino National that comes from nothing into something, the street child, an orphan 23 years ago.

My Mission is to outreach the street child and orphan to transform their future into a better life.

Together, we can build and transform their dreams.

    Thank you!

  10. Hey fellows!
I started off blogging a few days back, honestly I was just looking for a place to vent. But as I spent a few days into it, I had started to feel that wordpress was more than just plain diary keeping, it is a community where everyone is celebrating their one mutual love, the love for words and its influence on others.
To be able to talk to people you’ve never known without them feeling like strangers, and connect on a basic human level through their writings is just so amazing. It makes me so happy to blog now, and waking up to wordpress notifications. 💞

So I hope whoever among you feels inspired, visits me, and let me know about yourself. Looking forward to reading your blog, and hopefully you’ll look forward to read mine too.
    Love

    1. Welcome! Sharing your link here is a great start 🙂

I see that right now, the title of your blog is your email address — you might want to make it something more descriptive, that tells us about you! You can edit your title by going to My Site > Customize > Site Identity.
