Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Wow! What a coincidence! I just completely redid my site as well and then this post came up in my feed. I am open to any feedback or constructive criticisms/anything that could help improve my site. I specialize in home decor, organization, and decluttering.
Thanks so much guys!

The simple but elegant look of your blog really goes with the topics you write about.
One comment on design… On the post “3 Foolproof Decor Tricks to Make Your Home Fall Cozy”, there is one size of type that is almost too small to read. It’s mixed in throughout the post but the first time is right above the first slide show. You may want to make that type the next larger size. Otherwise, I really like the overall look of everything. 🙂

The type is much larger now, about the same size as the rest of the type. Much easier to read.

Hello to all the readers and writers out here!
I am a big fan of poetry…I love the way you can fathom the secrets locked up in the deepest the nooks inside your heart, through poetry. I love the play of words involved. Do you feel the same about poetry?
I am looking for more poetry based blog sites so if you write poems then I would love to have a look at them! I firmly believe that every poem is unique as it is inspired by unique ideologies.
I recently wrote a poem and would love to know what you think about it!

Hi Guys,
It is almost been 2 months now since I have started my blog. Though it is poetry that comes naturally out of me, I am trying my best to come up with other areas of interest for I believe we never know our limits unless we push the wall way beyond.
It would be great if you can spare some time and visit my blog to help me improve. Your feedback and suggestions are awaited.

My goal is to reach as many people as possible and ignite a fire within them that’s makes them want to make a positive change in their life! I want to motivate and inspire others. One thing I really struggle with is self-confidence. I wrote a post talking about the topic.

Hello everyone! I was wondering if you could take a look at my blog and give me some input. I’m trying to make it the best blog I can and need to make certain the content is compelling enough to keep readers coming back for more. I am trying to get my story out there so others who are in similar situations can look at it, know they are not alone and find strength in the middle of the chaos. Any helpful criticism would be greatly appreciated. What do you like about it? What do you dislike? Do I need more pictures or do I need a total redesign? Thank you so much for your time!

Hello community pool! I am so excited to be here. I am like the definition of an occasional blogger and I have only *just* learned that WordPress is as much a community as it is a blogging platform, which is very exciting.
Here’s my blog: https://sujonz.wordpress.com/
I’m an academic and trying to use my blog as a kind of digital home for thoughts, articles, research and all that. I have been thinking a lot about it and how it works. I would love any comments or feedback on the overall look and feel (e.g. Is it too busy? Does it flow well? Is anything missing?). Any comments on content also very welcome.
I am also going to have a look at some of your creations. \m/

I’ve been working on building up the amount of stories on my short horror story blog! I’ve also been nominated for the Mystery Bloggers Award. However, I don’t know any fellow short story writers. Comment with your favorite and I’ll check them out!
Since the last Community Pool I’ve uploaded two new stories! One of which is a first draft of a story I hope to enter into a contest and would love some feedback on!
Thank you in advance for reading, DFTBA!

Great blog, and you have a lovely writing style. One thing though – I’m a bit confused about what your blog is about – short horror stories or anonymous autopsy of your life and marriage? Love the design and flow.

Hi, fellow swimmers! I posted twice last week–which is a lot for me. The first is a critical book review of Philipp Meyer’s AMERICAN RUST: https://rustbeltgirlblog.wordpress.com/2017/09/18/american-rust-restless-ruin-a-book-review/
The second is a fun romp into the music of my adolescence in Cleveland: https://rustbeltgirlblog.wordpress.com/2017/09/21/that-hometown-sound/
Do you try to alternate more serious, in-depth posts with lighter ones? Really trying to connect with fellow writers and readers out there. Appreciate all feedback. ~ Rust Belt Girl (Rebecca)

Hope you have all had a great week and enjoyed your blogging. Stopping for a moment this week to appreciate summer’s coming plus I have finally written a piece to answer a question about getting enough protein as a vegetarian. Phew, took two weeks. Would appreciate if you could share the love on my fb page veggiemind, I am trying to get out of New Zealand to spread the green! https://crowdedmind.co/2017/09/21/the-green-folder-4/ Any feedback welcome, I will try and visit as much as I can this week as soon as I get back from work. That was informative. I read the original Diet for a Small Planet and trained myself to naturally combine plants per their recommendations. Even though the combining is not necessary, it does serve to get variety in my diet. At this point, it would seem weird to eat beans without adding some seeds, nuts, grains, or dairy. 🙂 https://gracelead.co

I agree that’s exactly what I do. Have never read diet for a small planet. Guess what I will go and source now.

I hope some of you can take the time to review, share your thoughts, and/or give constructive criticism on one of my recent posts:
http://paperybox.ca/2017/09/21/driving-your-travel-pals-crazy/
It’s based on a recent experience with companions I have never travelled with, and my realization during our trip that there are “habits” or “behaviours” that can hinder a the success and enjoyment of group travelling.
Enjoy, and have a great week!

I just returned from a group trip to Africa. It turned out quite better than expected. One person was the ultimate event planner which made it easier for the rest. Only positive memories.
