Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

My latest post is a Halloween recipe that I HAVE to make every year. It’s become a staple that everyone requests. This Candy Corn Fudge is so melt-in-your-mouth yummy and addicting. What better way to get in the Halloween spirit than candy corn colors and sugar?! 🙂

Looks yummy, but I have to say I was put off by the ad at the bottom of my screen. Was that my computer or your site, I’m not sure.

The recipe is delicious. As for the ad, it’s my site and I actually find them annoying too and might turn them off.

Hi! I recently changed my theme from Baskerville 2 to Lovecraft so that I could have a sidebar meaning my readers could navigate easier, I would like some feedback on the look please. Anything from the colour scheme to my font sizing is open to feedback and I will take it willingly, thanks!

Lovely theme. Very clean and easy to navigate. I have been toying with the idea of changing my theme for that very reason–needing a sidebar.

Hey guys! Hope all is well! I’m Karissa, and I mostly write about a wide range of topics. My blog is a documentation of my journey to and through medical school and all that life throws my way.
I wrote this post while at my desk during a contemplative moment. 🙂 Sometimes we just need to take in our environment and see the effect it has on our mood and thoughts. Hope you like it!

That was a good read. It reminds me of a day I went to a meeting when there was construction taking place just outside the window. Within a few minutes, most of the participants were out of their chairs, lined up at the windows and watching the big machines do their thing. 🙂 https://gracelead.co

You make excellent points. What puzzles me is that the players are doing this “at work” rather than their own time. It seems to me, when at work, we should focus on work. We can express ourselves on other topics when not at work. https://gracelead.co

I find it quite interesting that you didn’t attempt to ask any women about their views on this. Have you thought of interviewing some ladies who have dropped out of the workplace to ascertain their reasons?
That might make an even more interesting read…

Hey everyone! I’ve had this blog for several months but I’m kind of rededicating myself to it. The blog centers around the idea that political/religious disagreement can happen in a civil way. My most recent post is along that same theme. I’d love any feedback on anything, but particularly on length (I think I tend to err on the side of too short) and format. The technical side of this isn’t my strongest area. Thanks so much!

For me, the length was good; however, be aware that I am strongly inclined to favor short posts 🙂 . You made your point clearly and persuasively. https://gracelead.co

What do you think about time, in general? How would you describe it or, better said, how do you perceive it? This movie I reviewed one day ago might answer your questions or at least make you consider your thoughts: https://reviews635.wordpress.com/2017/09/24/arrival/. This time, SF offers something else.

Hello all!
I recently wrote a poem and would love to know what you think about it!
We all go through the ups and downs of life and come out of the direst stress, as warriors and survivors. Isn’t it?
This poem of mine portrays what I feel while going through such situations.
Here’s the link:
I would be glad to have honest opinions about it!

What I knew not to be true.
I wish I could ease-breathe,
In times I felt gaiety to be untrue.

Parenting Styles, Attachment, and Finding a Balance
Parenting comes in all shapes and sizes and each parent has their own strategy, that they think is best in raising their children. In the world of psychology, there are four distinct parenting styles that were identified by Diana Baumrind back in the 1960’s. The first style is… https://conscioustalkmag.com/2017/08/22/parenting-styles-attachment-and-finding-a-balance/

You wrote a very nice short summary of 2 major parenting themes in psychology. Yay you! for not getting bogged down in the details of these themes! That’s a pretty amazing feat! Thanks for the reminder of these things I have learned before (it’s nice to not have to go back through all I had read/heard when I first learned about them). 🙂

Recently, I got to experience what happens when the rules (written or otherwise) identify a person as a possible threat to security. I know this happens to a lot of people for far less rational reasons than why I experienced it. I’m curious about your thoughts on security, identity, and how it all fits together. http://angelanoelauthor.com/inspiration-motivation/whats-in-a-name-identity-security-and-a-pat-down/
