Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

As an aspiring minimalist people ask me about my capsule wardrobe quite frequently so I finally wrote a blog post about it!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the post, whether you have a capsule wardrobe, want one, don’t understand why people would want one, or have never heard of a capsule wardrobe before. Specifically, I would like to know if the tips make sense to you and if you think there is too much “fluff” about my personal reasons for having a capsule wardrobe.

I will, of course, visit your blog in return and look forward to interacting with you!

Great post! I also liked the clean simple photos of your stuff – supported the narrative of the post really well.

I’m trying to get more committed to blogging more regularly! I’m not a brilliant writer and often struggle with putting my thoughts into words but I’m trying as I do really enjoy the writing experience and expressing my thoughts more openly! Feedback and any help/ideas would be appreciated 🙂

Perhaps getting used to writing through journaling may help. Doesn’t have to be long. Just whatever is on your mind, so that you can get the hang of expressing your ideas.

Absolutely what blessthecrown said.
Sometimes it is the physicality of actual pen to paper and a little scribbling that helps get things going, too. I know there are times I cannot write on my computer until I have wasted at least a page or two of paper. I will have one or two lines worth of thought about one thing, then have a few more on something else. Being that I write a lot of poetry, this has been how one or two of them started. Then you can scribble, circle and draw a line to inset somewhere else, get a real pictorial idea of how your thoughts look. Whether poetry is your niche, or taking real life situations from a journal type style and turning it into a piece of fiction by changing names, settings, what you wished WOULD have happened, etc. Maybe taking that creative road will help you express and commit better. It gets easier. This is my second try at blogging and I have been on here every day since I put this blog up and the more I write, well the more I write. It is like exercising makes you stronger. The same goes with writing. Good luck!

Thank you! I’ve actually been finding myself opening up WordPress during random moments during the day (on the bus for example) and playing around with ideas, my drafts are getting pretty full though 😛 As someone who also loves poetry, I’ve been trying to play around with words too but this doesn’t happen to me naturally yet but like you said exercising makes you stronger! Thanks for the help, much appreciated 🙂

If you’re ever stuck needing a synonym try using an online thesaurus. Just search for “online thesaurus” and you’ll be able to find all sorts of synonyms as well as the exact definition of said words to make sure they’re in the proper frame of thought.

I feel the exact same way about my blog too Rachel! Trying to be committed after working a full time job can be tough! I actually quite enjoy your writing. I think you are being too hard on yourself! Keep it up :). I look forward to seeing how you develop.

In the upper right hand corner next to the WRITE link and notifications bell is your profile avatar. Click it and see if you can update it that way.

Okay yes you can because I just did it. When you hit the avatar button, the first box you see says Public Display Name. Change it there.

Hello Bloggers!
I have recently started my blog http://faithlovepoetry.wordpress.com and while it is so far mostly poetry, some old that I am just now sharing and some new, it will eventually be a blog of my insights and perspective on daily life, issues I am passionate about, poetry… basically what goes on inside my mind. Careful… lol.
Anyways, I would really like for my blog to grow both in number of followers and content. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for taking time to check it out. Have a good one. God Bless!

Hello! I just posted the fourth part of my new prose poetry series “Apart From You” and would love some feedback.
The series is about a couple in a long distance relationship and all the struggles that come with. Each part focuses on fears and thoughts the characters have and how the relationship affects them. The cool thing about this series is that you don’t need to read all parts in order to understand it. Everyone interprets something different when reading it, you should give it a try!
Thank you!

Hi everyone!
I only recently changed the template of my blog. Previously, it was ordered from oldest to newest (top to bottom). I’m working on improving the visuals as personally I love looking at other people’s photos!
I just published a new post. I generally write stories from my life, but this one feels much more intimate for me as it pertains to how I met my other half.
Anyone else out there who writes to stories from their life?
Thanks!!

Just did a post that I think might be a bit controversial. I find it challenging to write about a subject about which am not 100% knowledgeable. I wanted to express that I was interested in learning about it further with out over simplifying the overall message. Thoughts?

I thought this was a really interesting and well-written post (thanks for sharing it here!). You said you’re not 100% knowledgeable – but I thought the post read as though you had a solid grasp on the subject matter.
