Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Thanks you so much, this is very encouraging! The views are still quite low, I have been doing my best marketing on Twitter and Facebook. Perhaps in a few months there will be a more secure readership.

I’ve found Twitter and Facebook to be shouting matches and pretty much useless ;). Traffic on my blog has really picked up lately, and switching away from Twitter and Facebook was part of what made it happen.
I’ll have piece on my blog soon enough about how I got from 0 to 500 followers… hope you’ll visit and find it useful!
Good luck with your blog!

Good afternoon bloggers! I hope you are all well!
My name is Mark and I am currently a self published author hoping that I will soon be losing the ‘self’ part to that title. I am about to release my second book, the first in a new crime series featuring my main man DCI Morgan. I would be glad of the support if you get a chance to stop by and say hi!
Take care,
Mark

Using the new link I was able to view your website — thank you for that! I like the content, and the design is pretty, and I do have some tips and comments on it that might help. (But it all really depends on personal preference; don’t feel pressured to do anything!) The text size feels a bit small, but the picture size is good. Visually pleasing… that’s important for a blog’s success. So I recommend using pictures in posts. Also, if you want views for each post, add a “read more” tag into each post. When editing the post, place your cursor where you’d like to add the read more feature, and then click on the button with the dashed line in between two thick lines. (If you’re having trouble I’m sure there’s probably a tutorial online somewhere.) I would also delete the default first post, the one that reads, “This is your very first post. Click the Edit link to modify…” blah blah blah. Good job so far!

Hey!
We all go through times when we are knocked down real hard on the ground. We all go through phases in which we feel very low. It’s almost as if we’re seeing everything shatter down, before our eyes. But, we rise. We rise again, proving to be mightier than our struggles. Check out my poem wherein I describe how I feel when I go through such phases of life!
Here’s the link:
I would be glad to receive feedbacks!

I just finished a three-part story series about “My very first love”. I would love it if someone would read at least the first part and let me know if it would be anything that would catch a romantic reader’s attention. If you like part 1, please do continue to part 2, and maybe even part 3, which is the end. Honest opinions are welcome. I appreciate constructive criticism. The first part is at https://birdflight.blog/2017/08/07/my-very-first-love-part-1/
Part 2 can be reached at the end of part 1, and part 3 at the end of part 2.

Heya fellas!
If there is anything I cherish more than a good book, it’s honest feedback. So, do me a favour and have a quick glance, and help me out maybe? After all, I’m just a novice, trying to find her passion.
P. S.- I know it’s been a while since I have posted, but don’t worry the hiatus is soon going to be over.
Thanks in advance!

I love dragons as much as the next person (maybe more) but they aren’t good human role models. Why? Because they hoard treasure. Humans do too, but the treasure I’m talking about in this weeks post is the gift of praise. Seeing praiseworthy acts and saying something about it. Are you a dragon? How do you give and receive compliments? http://angelanoelauthor.com/social-commentary/why-dragons-are-terrible-role-models-for-humans/
