Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

Hey guys!
I have just published a new blog post on our “INNER CRITIC”.
The voice that tells us what we do isn’t good enough or simply, enough. I have genuinely worked for hours on the delivery of the post, remaining as articulate and as authentic as I possibly could.
Because of that, I would absolutely love some comments and feedback on the post.
Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m very new at this and I just published my third article ever. I horribly lack self-confidence when it comes to sharing my creations so I’d love some feedback before I go any further. Here’s a link to my latest post from today (ladies might find it more interesting than gents though):

I’ve succumbed to that voice plenty of times. This summer, I made a goal to bypass what I thought and do what I felt instead. Always been hard on myself. Not something I necessarily want to change, but like you said, I have to remind myself I am all I can expect from myself. That statement needs to be heard worldwide. Great thought-out post.

We all have different ways on how to voiced out our inner thoughts. My way is through writing a poetry. I will really appreciate it if you’ll check my blog…

Hi everyone! I have just started a new blog and would love some feedback. I have just posted something about Alice in Wonderland and homelessness with a sprinkling of psychology, sociology and both serious/silly references. It is a bit long but it’s about a topic I really care about ❤️
I also posted a little thing about Pride.
Your feedback would be monumentally appreciated 😊
Thank you for reading.

Hi ,
I’m fairly new at this blogging business…!!
I’m a new Mum who has been suffering from PND (postnatal depression) and I have been writing a blog following my journey. I’d really like to get my story out there to help other mum’s feeling the same way. How do I do this?
Thank you so much xx

Hiya everyone,
Here is my guide to Dover- the most iconic fortress in England! I hope that this post captures your historic imagination or love of architecture and inspires you to plan a trip down to Kent.

This is one of my longest posts- do you prefer my short or long posts? Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, great guide! I tried to leave a comment but I’m not sure if it worked It was really informative and I definitely learned a lot! I’d say maybe put a little more personal comments into it; I’d love to know your opinions on how the castle is laid out or your favourite parts of it! I’ve also dabbled in travel guides if you’d like to check out my little list of recommendations in Falmouth: https://namisadventures.wordpress.com/2017/06/08/fourty-eight-hours-in-falmouth/
As for long vs short posts, I think both work, as long as the content is engaging. Longer posts only really work (imho) if your readers feel like they’re getting to know you and your story. 🙂

Hey,
The comment was left successfully. Thank you so much- I really appreciated it!
That is a really good point.People could engage more with my posts if I was more personal. This is something I will work on in future posts!
Just checking your posts out now- so far, your blog looks excellent. I really like your style of writing. It makes a good read.

It’s been a month since I started blogging and I’ve hit a wall. My life isn’t as exciting as I’d hoped and I’ve started using a blogging tool to help me with posts so that I’m not just rambling on my opinions and thoughts on various random things.
Here’s this weeks post I’d appreciate some feedback and advice please.

It is definitely agreeable! Happiness is a state. Drowning yourself with negativity makes you much more miserable. If others can, YOU can do it as well!

Hello everyone,
Taking a dipping in the community pool are we? Excellent! I write inspirational content, and poetry as part of a healthy lifestyle blog called Rays Up! The goal is helping others “raise up” to be the best that they can be.
With that being said, I recently overhauled my theme to be more mobile responsive, as I realize that is where most of the audience is reading. I would like to know if you like the flow of my site, if it is easy to read on a mobile device, and what I can do as far as tags to get more people to engage with my blog.

Thank you for visiting! I will be sure to return the favor 🙂

Hi all, this is my first dip into the community pool! I’ve had my blog for a while now and I feel like my content should resonate with a lot of students and travellers, but I’m really getting any engagement. I was hoping to just get a little feedback as to why this might be 🙂

Your post helped bring some perspective on the difference between needs and wants. I agree we should revise the meaning of act like a baby. https://gracelead.co

I know. When we see someone with raw emotion and brought to tears…why do we call them babies? It is really insensitive.
