New blogger? Welcome! Share a link to your first post, say hello to other new faces, and find your first few readers.

If you’re not new and are looking for support or feedback, the Community Pool is the place for you!For technical questions, visit the WordPress.com Support Forums.
To learn more about blogging, take a Blogging U. course.
To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.
Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.
Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.
We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:
- We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
- When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
- Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
- Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
- To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.
Currently blogless? You’re a click away from sharing your story.

I loved it too…sincerely I can relate. Myself am a blogger here at wordpress ishimusickenya.WordPress.com
But seriously I just started and am just getting to cope. Am more of a reader I like to read books and share what I am reading with other as per now am reading KINGDOM PURPOSE by THE LATE MYLES MONROE its quit interesting and so am trying to share it. I tried to summarise it but every time I do I feel like I am giving somebody out there less than they deserve as if am taken an opportunity of change from somebody…..but its really nice to meet you all…your comments just renewed my strength to become a better person and a better icon to someone out there. Thank you so much

Hello and welcome, new folks! We’re really excited to meet you.
As usual, I just want to remind everyone that we moderate the comments on First Friday pretty heavily — this is really a space for brand new people to introduce themselves and meet one another, and for others to welcome and support them.
If you’re not here to either share your (recent) first post or leave a supportive comment, please head to the Community Pool, which is where any blogger can seek feedback on any aspect of blogging. And if you’re not sure what the guidelines here are, please read the above post — or just ask!
Happy blogging, y’all:)

I popped over and took a look, found your post very interesting. Life has its “seasons” and you’re finding yourself standing at the door of another. 🙂
There are lots of little things to learn about blogging, but it’s a fun adventure. As you visit other blogs you’ll get lots of ideas for your own site.

Hello I’m new to this whole writing for fun and as a hobby thing. It’s something I’ve always wanted to persue so I decided to finally give it a shot.
Here is my first actual post:
It’s short as far as they can come. I hope to discover more about myself through writing to add more descriptive and accessible language into my posts.

I’m new to this, never blogged before. I guess there’s no right or wrong way to do it. It if you all have any tips, suggestions they will. E greatly appreciated. My primary focus is to write about the struggles I face living with Marfan syndrome but not entirely focusing on just that. It also on many other aspects of life. I like writing poetry as well.

Welcome!
You have several placeholder posts on your blog’s home page — you can edit or delete them by going to My Site > Posts.
There are some great guided courses at http://bloggingu.wordpress.com, and if you feel like you could use a little more help with the ins and outs of WordPress.com, there’s a useful “getting started” tutorial here: http://learn.wordpress.com.

Hey everyone!
I’m new to blogging. I only have one post so far! I wrote about giving birth to my baby girl. I feel that day was the start of my life. I plan to write about my struggles with drugs and alcohol. I plan to be as real as possible about how shitty life can be and also how I found beauty in all the shit.

I noticed that you still have some placeholder text in your blog’s sidebar, over to the left of your posts — you can remove or edit that by going to My Site > Customize > Widgets. Look for the Text Widget!

Hello there! I’ve just started posting a couple of days ago. It’s amazing how the thought that someone in some far off land might read and even resonate with my innermost thoughts propelled me to share my writing. I am deathly scared of rejection but this just seems like such a warm and welcoming community. I hope you can head over to my page and give some of the posts a read (all short poems at this point). I’d love to hear from you too as feedback is what I’m looking for the most. Love and light to all!

One thing I noticed — you’re using a lot of tags and categories on some of your posts. The WordPress.com Reader actually filters out posts that use more than 15 tags and categories (combined) as an anti-spam measure, so using this many tags actually makes it harder for folks to find your posts, which is sad! If you cut your tags down to the most relevant, you’ll actually draw more readers.
Welcome!

Hello!
So this was my first post. It isn’t something amazing or extraordinary. Writing has just been a way for me to channel my angst. I’d been holding it back for a long time so making a WordPress was a tough decision in itself.
Either ways, here’s my first blog. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you 😁

I get teased because I say sodapop, but no matter where I go, they at least know what I mean! I still can’t figure out the ones that call it coke when they really mean a Sprite or something (because everything is coke)?

Hi all,
I’m not very good at this. Even have problems fixing my page and deciding what to write. Started with the intention to jot down my life and travels as I’ve just moved to a new country. But I’ve also been updating Facebook and instagram. Hence trying to figure out what to blog and how to make sense of these 3 media.
This is my first thought when I first touched down to the foreign land:

I don’t really understand social media, either.
If you just want to write about your life, do it! No one says you have to fit in to a box, so if that changes over time, it changes, but go with your heart and your gut. Best to you!

Hi Evelyn, welcome to the blogging world.I’m sure you’re going to find tons of things to write about with your new life. When I moved from UK to Taiwan last year, everything seemed so familiar yet so different, and I found even small things that I wouldn’t normally notice at home gave me inspiration to write.

Hello!
I started my blog a few months ago and couldn’t really get the hang of it. So I’ve redone it a little bit to something I think I’ll be more interested in myself. I never wanted my blog to feel like homework I had to get done. And I think with this new outlet I will enjoy telling everyone e everything:)
