Community Pool

Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  2. Hello Everyone!

I recently wrote a post about life and motivation and struggle to achieve their dreams. I did not write how to because there are many writers or motivational speakers who told it but I believe to motivate people for their work and let them understand how they help in creating a better community. Please go through it and share your views. Thank you. 🙂

    1. Your post is very motivational. One could read it and get the will to overcome any obstacle posed at them. The mention of IIT and IIM gives me an idea that you’re from India maybe? Well anyway I’ll keep a tab on your blog and would appreciate it if you did the same for mine, here is a link to my latest post, thanks :

    1. I think your post is interesting and well thought out. It is quite technical. In my own personal preference I would like a bit more of opinion, maybe if you think what you had been in a past life, if not human, or what you would like to be if you had a choice in reincarnation

    1. the post is good and well written but your concern about the distracting level of external references is true, it is something you might want to look upon. Other than that, very informative.

      1. Thanks!! I wasn’t planning to post another part because I didn’t think that it’d intrigue anyone in he first place.

    1. Hey educateme658, Your post was pretty interesting and as someone interested in entering the medical field I found it a great read. A tip would be to maybe edit the text widget on the side, and add more things to your side bar, because all it says is text widget. Hope this helps!

    1. There’s isn’t currently a way to tag another WordPress.com blogger or site owner — though adding a link to their site (whether their homepage or a specific post) sends them a pingback, a notification that you’ve linked to it.

You might find it relatable especially if you’re having some problems with your relationships (any kind).
