Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

Hi, So I have been to Thailand quite some time back. The vivid memory and explosion on tastebuds dont seem to leave me any time soon. I have scribbled my thoughts on China Town bangkok experience. It remains special since the place resembles so much like our very own China Town in Kolkata, which we other wise call Topsia. Please spare a moment to share your though on the same: https://orangewayfarer.wordpress.com/2017/07/10/enter-the-dragon-bangkok-china-town/

Hi everyone 🙂 This week I finished publishing the final part of my 3-part fiction series “Missed Opportunity.” I’d appreciate some feedback on the same since it’s my first attempt at fiction. Suggestions, comments, criticisms are all welcome 🙂
Thank you guys so much!

Good start! I think that you have something promising here, but it gets a bit lost in the descriptions of Pia’s activities. My advice would be to condense the description of what Pia does before Karan comes into three or four sentences and focus more on why Karan’s visit is so important or exciting for her. If doing this would give the plot away, I’d suggest writing more about the interaction between Pia and Karan once he gets there. But overall your style and word choices reveal talent! Keep writing!

Hi Laura. Thank you so much for taking the time out to give me such detailed feedback. It was a bit of a struggle to write because I was quite unsure of the presentation. You’ve made really good points that I’m definitely taking into consideration and will work on 😊 I’m glad you liked it. Thank you once again 😊

I enjoy your writing style. I think what might help your blog in general would be to give it a “proper” title (changing it to Hundred Sticky Notes), using categories for your posts so readers can navigate your site more easily, and maybe using a few more images to give the blog a bit of color.

Really like the layout of the blog, really clean design, although I’d look at the widgets are the bottom and see if they can be tidied up, or maybe moved to the side of the blog. Having said that, I still think it looks great

Harajuku – はらじゅく- 原宿
原宿, the two characters, literally means “Original Habitat”
It is a strawberry milkshake that smoothly blends history and youth, culture and identity, and pink hearts and gothic skulls together. It melts on your tongue, leaving a bittersweet residue, and rides down your throat, stirring tropical sensations throughout your veins.
