Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once! We tend to delete duplicate comments asking for feedback on the same post.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • When leaving comments, please remember not to add your blog’s url as your signature. It’s kinda spammy: after all, your handle links directly to your blog.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Hi everyone,

I just found this site today and it looks like a very helpful resource to blog publishers. I am a new blogger and started a blog in March writing about various radio controlled projects to share with other enthusiasts.

I was curious to know what more seasoned bloggers like yourselves thought about my new blog. Sharing your opinions whether it be good or bad will be very welcome.

    Please check out my blog:

    1. We have a weekly photo challenge that you’re welcome to join. The instructions on how to get involved appear next to the author’s name each week. Here they are:

Want to participate? Each Friday, we’ll provide a theme. Publish a new post with a photo interpreting the theme. Include the pingback to this week’s challenge to share your post with the community.

You can also leave a comment on the post with a link to your entry. A new photo challenge comes out each Friday at noon, Eastern. Here’s where you can find all the previous challenges.

  4. Hi everyone! đŸ™‚
I wanted to reply on some of your comments but I can’t find my way here to which comments are older and which are more recent and I didn’t want to bother anyone.
I’m new to the world of blogging and would really love to hear your opinions on some of my posts (I’m getting discouraged by the lack of activity on my blog).

  5. Ok, I usually set my page to private, but I’ve made it public for a little while in order to get your comments. There’s two pages, three posts and some of my photographs I’ve taken while hiking. If you like flowers, nature and outdoor stuff, take a peak. Keep in mind I’m the sensitive type, so be kind..
And thanks for taking time to visit.

  6. I don’t know if I am putting this in the right spot. This question has probably been asked before as I cannot see that I am the first to run into this.
A bit back (in May) I published a post. At first I could not find it after publishing. Somehow, for some reason, It got published for January. I didn’t even publish my first post until February. It didn’t seem to be that big a deal as I reblogged it so my followers would know I published something new.
It happened again today. I finished writing something today and it got published for April 10th.
Is there a reason this keeps happening? Is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening again? Is this happening to anyone else?
At first I thought maybe I had published it before by accident and then published it again at a later date, but this is not the case.
My blog can be found here .https://emwell2.wordpress.com/ if you need to see what I am talking about.

  7. I’ve been blogging for a couple of months now and I have been slowly posting less and less but that is ok because I work very hard on my work. I hope you like it. I would greatly appreciate comments on my posts and constructive criticism would be great!

  8. Hi Everybody,
I´m really looking forward for feedback on my blog, if it´s visually appealing, the organization, the sidebar widgets, etc. I have a feeling that it lacks something to be more engaging. And of course, anything you want to say on the posts, that would be great!
    Thanks,

  9. Hi, I have started blogging recently to create inspiration and fun to motivate ladies, like myself who are 60+ to create, reinvent, and experiment with style, colour, fashion and flair to change and enjoy how they look and feel each day and to have a healthy attitude towards themselves and others. I believe ‘Personal Presentation’ is important, – combined with a positive and healthy attitude. I am trying to encourage seniors to keep bringing colour and fun into their daily lives, – with a little imagination this can always be achieved. I am a full time carer for my husband of 48yrs, which is heart breaking seeing the one you love suffering each day, but escaping into my fashion passion world and blogging with videos keeps me happy and mentally active. I have a lot to learn on setting out pages, blog site etc. and would value any positive help and opinions.

  10. Hi everyone,

I am relatively new to blogging and write on mostly things that strike me as something that is relevant to our day-to-day lives. My latest blog is on communication and the importance of responding and not just reacting. Any general comment or pertaining to a any single blog is welcome. Would love some feedback.

  11. Sure. why not.
My writing style varies. On this particular blog, it is mostly single sentence thoughts because it is something that I am experiencing right at that moment.
I am reviewing beers and outdoor stuff.
I have venues for more in-depth writing, but this one isn’t it.
