  1. As a dementia patient my read/writing abilities are disintegrating (shown by my last few postings at http://www.truthfulkindness.com). Everyday tasks take so much more time and energy that … (what is the word — getting your voice heard?) … is impractical. I started this blog two weeks ago and twitter a couple days ago, but I’ve got to have time for eating and maintaining family relationships. I feel my message is very important. Does anyone have ideas for getting message to public and still have time and energy for life?

  2. Hello,
I recently started a photography blog of my recent start to my photography hobby. I’ve always enjoyed photography. But, I have just gotten to a point where I can invest time in it. Now, I’d like to share that with people. Maybe if someone would like to check it out, and give me any feedback on how to make my blog more appealing/interesting. I’m new to all of this, and it would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

  3. Hello friends.

I have been getting regular at blogging over past few months now and writing on a variety of topics. Would appreciate your feedback on blogs, design and layout.

I have also started drawing recently. Attended a short workshop on it as well. I have posted some of my drawings. I feel I’m improving gradually. I would appreciate your feedback and suggestions on it, particularly points for improvement.

  4. Hi everyone, I would appreciate any feedback. I started the blog over a year ago, and I’ve only done a couple posts then sort of dropped off for a while. Well I want to post more now. Can anyone tell me if there is a right or wrong to posts or pages? I would really like opinions on my pages which I mostly just put some of my poetry on, but I get the feeling I’m “doing it wrong” :/

  5. Please help… In the process of creating this blog, I created SEVERAL categories (about 20) that I don’t use. So, when I write a post, and I tag and categorize it, I have to go through this long list. Is there any way I can edit my page to get rid of these unwanted categories? Otherwise, I’m just adding more, making the list I have to scroll and check even longer. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of all of these?? It would be a huge help!! Thanks in advance!

      2. If you ever want to, you can easily revert to a previous version, as WordPress.com saves a copy of each version of your post. On that same page, just above the Update button, you’ll see “Revisions: X” with the number of saved versions. Clicking on “browse” next to it will give you the option to compare and reinstate different iterations of the same piece.

  6. Greetings fellow bloggers, I’m a brand new blogger and would like
some WordPress friends. Where are you all? 😉 Page wise, I guess I’m wondering what amendments I could make to make my page look really streamline. Actually now that I think about it I think I need to start by changing the text. Hmm. Am I better off with a paid theme? I feel I could do better, if only I could work out this pesky formatting stuff…

  11. I am new to blogging and love travel and photography. In two weeks I have written three posts about some cities I enjoyed: Lyon, Warsaw and Luxembourg. It’s written in Spanish, but pictures do not need a language. Hope you enjoy them. And I woule like some feedback about making it bilingual or keeping it like that.

  12. Alright people. I have had my blog for over a month now and im beginning to get a like or two on my posts but I know that it isnt the best. It was supposed to be about my life and decisions I make and i suppose it kind of is but it’s eventually meant to be about choices that lead to me working for myself, running my own business and leading my own life instead of following the normal path..

I would appreciate any constructive help but also it would be good to know any bits that stood out or that were good.
I say this because im new to blogging and writing about myself so I dont know what kind of vibe I am giving off.
If you like to talk to me privately so we can have a real conversation my email is dukescache@gmail.com

    Thanks

    1. The life type of blog is always interesting and I like that you share your feelings and frustrations on your blog. Your writing style is good, but watch your grammar. Using “u” in place of “you” diminishes your credibility as a writer as well as the vibe you’re trying to give off.

      1. Thankyou, I appreciate your feedback and advice. I am trying to spell correctly now, even when I am texting mates but occasionally I slip up and the wordpress app on my phone doesn’t have a spell check. But honestly I am happy that you noticed as it just proves that things I haven’t noticed when writing will be picked up quickly by the people reading and it can make me look sloppy.
I’m going to follow you now because I like you, I have browsed through your posts and they made me laugh and you seem like an interesting person to know.
        Thanks again for your help

    3. Hi Rachel. There are a lot of travel blogs out there (like mine) so the fact that you come at it from the angle of a nanny living abroad makes for a refreshing perspective, I would suggest though that you keep your body of text justified left rather than centered as I found it a bit distracting. Just a thought

  16. Hi all,
Like many people asking for suggestions today, I’m new to the blogging world. I’d really appreciate any feedback on…
    – writing style (I’ve gotten compliments, but it was from my brother…who was likely biased)
    – layout and flow of the site (I’m working from my smartphone so am unsure of how well it actually looks on a computer)
    – how on earth can I get more traffic beyond my friends and family?
    – any other random suggestions too!

    My site is thewanttowander.wordpress.com

    Thanks!

    1. Your blog layout is really neat and easy to go from story to story. The color choice is fitting with the pictures that you’ve taken and your concept is cool. My only suggestion would be to cut down how many pictures you put on each post. It can tend to be a little overwhelming. Maybe only post your favorite pictures. Networking and linking with other bloggers are two good ways of increasing your readership.

      2. I understand that! Maybe you break it up into multiple posts? Posting more will get you more readers as well. Do you utilize tags and categories?

      3. I do use tags and categories…not sure if I’m using either correctly/effectively though

      4. Don’t be afraid to use many tags that cover broad simple terms like “travel”, “photography”, “life”, etc.

    2. Your photos are gorgeous! The best way to get an audience is to search topics like “travel” and “photography.” Comment on blogs you enjoy tagged with those topics and before you know it your own blog readership will grow. Cheers.

    3. I enjoyed your site very much (especially the post about waking up to the spider in the morning) and am now a follower (I too have a travel blog so I know what I like to see and what I don’t). I think by posting in the community pool you’ve taken a first step to increase readers since exposure is usually the greatest obstacle to readership. By commenting on and following other people’s blogs you engage the community and oftentimes, the community engages back. looking forward to reading more

    1. Took a look at your site and now you have a new follower (anyone who can appreciate the Fiordland region of New Zealand is OK in my book). Pics are really nice too. Something I try to do in my own travel blog is to do more than just describe the destination etc, but also various aspects of the travel experience. Perhaps this can round out your content selection. Also, a bit more info and a photo you are comfortable sharing would go well for your about page

    1. That is a great topic. I think you could do a follow up on it. Are there deal breakers when it comes to social media and relationships? What are people finding out? How has social media changed the dynamic of relationships? Is it overall negative or positive?

I bet there are so many people who’d be interested to hear more about this.

The word is “Mongaup.” I thought it might be French as in “mon gaup,” but nothing comes up. It is a river and a road in Sullivan County, NY.

Any ideas? I get irritated when I can’t find answers. Have a nice day.
