The Community Pool is for those of you looking for feedback, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else.
If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment . .
TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling. If you simply leave a link to your blog, it’s likely to be overlooked.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Hi everyone!
I have a blog about languages, language diversity, and linguistics. It’s pretty content-heavy, which is on purpose, but I want to make sure it’s still engaging! I would appreciate any comments on the text-heaviness, and the ease of navigation.
Thank you!

This may be a technical question, so I’m not sure if it’s suitable for this forum, but I’ll give it a shot anyway. Recently, after a few years of messing about with a couple of wordpress.com blogs, as well as some non-WP websites, I decided to take the plunge and set up a hosted wordpress.org site. It took a while to learn all the nuances, but I’ve been happy with the results so far.
However, I soon realized after publishing my first blog post (properly categorized and tagged), that it did not appear in the .com Reader. Of course, the Reader traffic is a great way to build a following. I had naively assumed (since it was all based on the WP platform) that my posts would appear there.
Is there a ‘firewall’ between the .com community and the .org sites? Maybe I just have to live with this? Or is there a way to get my .org blog posts to appear in the Reader? Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

Hello everyone,
A happy (belated) Easter to you all. Did you remember the less privileged during the festive season? See in my current blog post- http://www.storieswithoutborder.wordpress.com- how refugees felt like kings and queens during this period. Each of us should also endeavour to put a smile on some one’s face at the slightest opportunity.

I really like your blog – at first I wasn’t sure I would. You can write, and the subject matter was surprisingly interesting. Closets – who knew? If my kids were young (which they aren’t) and I had an extra closet, I’d be all over that idea! Well done!!!

Good evening 🙂
I’m a brand new blogger and first year teacher. I started my blog mainly as stress relief, but I’m wondering specifically if I come off as more of a complainer rather than a comedic complainer (if that makes sense). I’m not looking to be the Debbie Downer of the world. I’d also love feedback on my writing style in general, as I’ve never written for the general public before.
