Community Pool

The Community Pool is for those of you looking for input, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else. If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment. Zero to Hero folks, head to today’s forum thread to chat about the assignment, but feel free to seek other feedback here!

  • You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • No running on the deck.

  2. In the last few years, I have had some international travel opportunities that I have enjoyed posting daily updates about over my Facebook page. My friends and family in suburban Seattle, most of which will never get the same opportunity to travel, have given me wonderful feedback about how much they love reading about my trips. They say reading about my adventures is like going on the trips for themselves. With their encouragement, I set forth to create a blog so that more people can read about not just my experiences, but about the world beyond their own backyards. I have been struggling with figuring it all out, but now have set it up and need the most basic of feedback. Now that I have the blog, I want to encourage people to WANT to read it.
Please check it out and give me feedback on what you like and what you don’t. Please leave feedback on the page itself.
Thanks fellow bloggers! I appreciate it.

    1. Hi Heather,
That’s almost exactly why I decided to start – I lived in Italy for three years and friends and family back in the UK said they loved my photodiaries on Facebook and stories of living there. I also love having those accounts now that I’m back in the UK and I can look back on my life there, so a blog is the best of both worlds – a diary for me, and a way to keep in touch with family and friends, and hopefully entice strangers to have a read, and maybe visit the places I talk about! I’m off to look at your blog now, you already made me want to read it! 😉

  3. Hi fellow bloggers! I am new to this and just started a blog recently. I am hoping to reach others whom it may help. The blog is about my journey through incest so it’s one of those sites that may be hard for some folks to read but helpful for others who can relate. What is the best avenue to reach folks who may be struggling? Thanks for the feedback!
